Firearms across your estate book, on one panel rate.
For fiduciary units, trust companies and FISA practices. Each estate is referred once and receives the same service, published fees and closure pack.
The published schedule, less a stated volume rate.
Fee schedule version 3, effective 4 October 2026, applies to every matter. An institution on the panel rate pays less on Firearmdesk's own fees; the licensed dealer's fees stay at cost, and nothing else changes. Firearmdesk is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our fees.
- Two volume tiersAt 10 and at 25 matters referred a month.
- Up to 10% below the published scheduleThe panel rate is agreed with each institution and shown on the estate's own invoice, so the Master's examiner and the heirs see it.
- No retainer, no rebatesThe institution pays nothing to be on the panel, and no rebate is paid to any executor.
- Fixed for the matterThe schedule in force when the executor signs the custody mandate applies to that matter until it closes.
Every estate your institution refers, in one view.
Your office works from one portal: each matter's stage and next action, and the charges across the whole book.
- One portfolio statementCustody charges and aging for every estate your institution has referred, downloaded as one PDF whenever you need it.
- A statement for each estateIssued on request, or monthly if your office prefers, and filed on the matter.
- Portfolio viewEvery matter's stage, who holds the next action and its document register, in one list.
- Scoped accessYour administrator invites colleagues, and your staff see only your institution's matters.
- Estates brought across togetherAt onboarding we open a batch of estates with your team from a schedule you send, each with its own reference.
- Nothing sensitive by emailSerial numbers and identity documents stay in the portal; email carries status and links.
Seven stages, evidenced for the estate file.
Authority is verified from the documents your office uploads, never by email. Each estate closes with a closure pack: custody receipts, valuation, the signed instruction and settlement records.

What institutions ask first.
Wayne de Jager, wayne@firearmdesk.co.za or call the office on 081 770 2885
Is there a retainer?
No. The institution pays nothing to be on the panel. The panel rate follows the number of matters your institution refers, at 10 and at 25 a month; below that, the published schedule applies.
Who is the debtor on an invoice?
The estate, care of your institution. The panel rate is shown on the estate's own invoice. Transfer fees for an heir are invoiced to the heir and never pass through the estate account.
Do our staff have to carry the firearms?
No. Where an heir who will inherit the firearms already holds a firearm licence and has them, they stay with that heir under the executor's written consent. Otherwise we book a permitted transporter for the estate, which collects them where they are kept and delivers them to the licensed dealer. The transporter invoices the estate, anything we pay it for the estate is passed on at cost, and we charge nothing for carriage.
What does an estate pay before dealer custody opens?
Only the compliance fee, which covers the Regulation 103 inventory and notices we prepare meanwhile. Dealer custody under the order of 15 September 2026 opens once a check of the court file confirms that no late application for leave to appeal was lodged. That check is under way.
Can we bring across a number of estates at once?
Yes. During onboarding we open the matters with your team from a schedule you send, so each estate starts with its own reference and portal record.
